I like to draw with pencil the most, but also enjoy using charcoal, conte crayon, pastels, water color, and acrylic paint. Sometimes I just like coloring in mandalas. Sketching peoples’ faces is my favorite, capturing an emotion – I like to look at the subject while I draw. Usually the urge comes in bursts and then I don’t draw for months again. I have moments where suddenly an image comes to mind and I have to draw it. I remember as a little girl I would draw a sun with a face on it so often. Both my parents are very artistic, my mom especially is an amazing painter of trees. It’s important to keep practicing and maintaining the skill – true talent doesn’t ever go away though. Just have to remember to let ourselves be creative!
For this one, I stood outside with my sketch book, just looking at the flowers to draw them.

This drawing came to me randomly around 1am one night.. I had to get up and sit in bed with my sketchbook – I saw a horse running from a dragon towards a portal and the backdrop was a forest with wild flowers hanging from vines.

I dreamt that I was standing on the top of a hill overlooking a field below with a house, there was a big cliff and then on top of the cliff I could see an area of huge tree trunks. At one point it seemed I was floating above this vast area, seeing all the cut trees, there were so many.
